Buy (or Rent) Textbooks in 2014-2015

Your #1 resource for obtaining required textbooks and other course materials is the York University Bookstore. Please see options below on how to be prepared with your textbooks for the start of term.

Buying Online

You can buy your course materials online and have them delivered to your house or on-campus residence. This is a great option for students who do not want to wait in line at the start of term as well as part-time students (Keele Campus or Miles S. Nadal campus) for whom shipping is more convenient.

Both new and used textbooks are available.

Renting Textbooks

The Bookstore also has a program that allows you to rent your textbooks instead of buying them. The cost of each book depends on the length of time you want to keep the book. To learn more about this program, click here.

Buying In Store

To buy your textbooks in the store, print your Course List from the Bookstore’s Web site so you are prepared when you go to the Bookstore. The Schulich section is on the main floor.

There are usually long line-ups to get into the Bookstore during the first few weeks in September. Make sure you give yourself enough time when you go there. To avoid lineups, get your textbooks early or buy them on-line.

GBC Textbook Exchange

Used books are also available on the GBC textbook exchange (Lotus Notes log-in required). Review posts for course materials for sale and/or add a new post with your required textbooks.
