Shared on behalf of the GBC:

What makes you unique? The way you think? Your tastes and preferences? Perhaps it’s your life experience that you’ve earned.

The excited, hodgepodge casserole that is the Schulich School of Business cherishes that which makes you unique, because variety is the spice of life. In our mosaic, there is a thread of similarity that runs among all of us; our culture. Shared experiences of living (laughing and loving) in any of the over 91 countries represented at Schulich, is a taut skein of identity that we have chosen to celebrate in the grandest way possible.

It is our great pleasure to invite you, on the 13th of October to Schulich’s biggest cultural extravaganza, Culture Crawl. Students have the opportunity to showcase what makes them unique and display it for everyone to see. Dance, food, music and festivities organised by the students will be bedecked in locations across the campus for friends, faculty and family to enjoy.

What is Culture Crawl?

Culture Crawl is an event organized by the GBC for students to showcase different international cultures through art (dance, music, etc.) and food. It’s also a wonderful opportunity for a Schulich-worthy melting pot of faculty, alumni and students across streams to meet, bond and be merry!

There are two main facets to culture crawl:

  • Talent Show

Location: McEwen Auditorium

The students, over the course of two hours, will showcase cultural performances through song, dance, music and poetry. The auditorium will seat the faculty, students and families and will be a celebration and merriment of the performances.

  • Pavilion Crawl

Following the cultural performances, everybody in groups will visit the student residences on-campus, now ‘Pavilions’ of their respective cultures. Each Pavilion will be bedecked with festivities that will showcase the culture, traditions, and cuisine unique to that region or country.
