Job Posting: Online Course Design Consultant

This role provides direct support to Course Directors and instructors for the shift to remote or online course
delivery by providing a student perspective on course designs as well as making dessign suggestions and
identifying resources to improve the remote/online learning experience for students.

Education:
Applicants must be students currently enrolled in a Schulich undergraduate or graduate program.

Experience:
1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably working in an academic environment providing support related to online course design or educational technology.

Skills required include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to understand, identify, and respond to Course Director or instructor needs.
  • Demonstrated strong performance in and familiarity with specific subject matter area is required.
  • Familiarity with Schulich’s LMS Canvas and Zoom.
  • Familiarity with other online learning tools, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Echo 360,
    Turnitin, etc. is an asset.
  • Familiarity with digital media editing software is an asset.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality

Job Posting: Online Course Developer

This role provides direct support to Course Directors, instructors and support staff for the shift to remote or online course delivery by building online course elements to support the remote/online learning experience for students

Education:
Applicants must be students currently enrolled in a Schulich undergraduate or graduate program.

Experience:
1-2 years of administrative, design or development experience, preferably working in an academic environment providing support related to online course design or educational technology.

Skills required include, but are not limited to:

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Familiarity with web content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Schulich’s LMS Canvas and Zoom is required.
  • Familiarity with other online learning tools, including Echo 360, Turnitin, etc. is an asset.
  • Familiarity with digital media editing software is required.
  • Basic familiarity with web design including basic HTML, JS, CSS is an asset.
  • Comfort with and ability to quickly learn new software and cloud applications.
