Sustainability & Innovation in Chile and Peru 2018

Take your education on the road and sign up for a  3.00 or 1.50 credit-hour study tour course in Winter 2018 (or Summer 2018 for part-time students).

These courses utilize a mix of lectures, in-class discussions, and company visits that will take place during 4 pre-departure lectures and a 10-day study tour in Chile and Peru. Students will participate in a diverse selection of company visits which could include CSR, renewable energy, mining, finance, retail, consumer goods, agriculture or nonprofit organizations (and/or others) in Santiago, Valparaiso, Vina del Mar and Lima.

Chile/Peru Program Dates: April 18-27, 2018 (not including travel days)

Instructor: Brenda Gainer, Associate Professor of Marketing; Royal Bank Professor of Nonprofit Management; Director Social Sector Management Program

Prerequisites: All 5100-level required Foundations of Management Courses completed prior to Winter 2018 term. Note: Consideration will be given to students who had approval to defer a 5100-level course to the Winter 2018 term in order to register in an elective course to count towards their specialization.

Credit Information: 3.00 or 1.50 credit-hour course in Winter (or Summer 2018 for part-time students)

Course Enrolment: Registered students will be informed when they can enrol in the course through Passport York

Spaces Available: 32 MBA/IMBA student spaces

Cost: $2,575 CAD plus international flights and food (single supplement $588 USD)
Includes: Accommodation (dual occupancy), all breakfasts, welcome dinner, internet, city tours, trip to Chilean coast, ground transportation, University and company visits and regional flight

Note: The registration page will not be available prior to 11:30am. Spaces will be reserved on a first-come first-served basis. Once you have successfully registered you will receive an email that will include instructions indicating you have 48 hours to make a $500 deposit by credit card to secure your space in the course.
