HKCBA is excited to host its 2017 National Conference in Vancouver, BC from June 1-3, 2017.
Following great success in 2016, HKCBA will be holding the second annual Hong Kong – Canada Investment Pitch Competition as part of the 2017 conference. This national competition will be a flagship part of the conference weekend, with student pitches taking place in front of a live audience and high-profile judges from Canada and Hong Kong. Together with partners in Canada and Hong Kong, HKCBA will offer $50,000 in prizes to the winners of the competition!
Prizes Include:
- Cash prizes and seed money to put towards your business idea
- Consulting services to help get your business from concept to market
- Trip for two to Hong Kong to attend the 2017 Hong Kong Forum
Who Can Apply?
This competition is open to all students (undergrad or masters) from participating schools across Canada that have a business idea connecting Canada and Hong Kong or leveraging the “Canada – Hong Kong advantage” to reach the Asian market.
Judges seek real-world business ideas that students intend to actually take to market.

Founded in 1984, HKCBA is one of the largest bilateral trade associations in Canada, with over 700 members in eight major cities from coast to coast. Our mission is to expand strategic relationships between Canada and Asia, using Hong Kong as the platform to advance this objective. In addition, we facilitate a network for professionals and entrepreneurs to connect and develop business relationships at HKCBA events throughout the year.
