The Canadian Tax Foundation Toronto Young Practitioners’ Steering Committee invites you to join the third annual Student Outreach and Networking Event.
‎This complimentary event is intended both for students who are actively pursuing careers in tax and for students that have an interest in tax and would like to understand what such a career entails, including:

This year, the event will take place in a “speed mentoring” format, in which students will have a chance to meet and ask questions to tax practitioners with a wide spectrum of specialties and experience levels. You will have a rare opportunity to gain an understanding of potential career paths as a tax professional and learn from each mentor’s personal experiences. Following the speed mentoring session, there will be an opportunity to network in a more informal setting in an open forum. Food and drink will be provided.

  • Law students
  • Articling students
  • Business, commerce and accounting students, including co-op students and accountants undergoing CPA certification
  • Graduate students pursuing advanced tax degrees (e.g., Waterloo MTax and Osgoode LL.M)

Capacity is limited and turnout is expected to be high so reserve your spot as soon as possible!‎

The event will take place on March 6, 2018 at the Bennett Jones LLP office (First Canadian Place, 100 King Street West, Suite 3400 (34th floor), Toronto, Ontario, M5X 1A4). Registration starts at 5:30pm, with the speed mentoring session beginning at 6:00pm sharp.
