Today we come together to celebrate the strength, contributions and achievements of female leaders around the world. We come together to advocate for inclusive spaces, diversity and representation. 

The International Women’s Day theme this year is #BalanceForBetter, a call to mobilize throughout the year and enact change for the better, whether it’s in the corporate suite, the government, the media and more. You’re encouraged to familiarize yourself with the cause, the theme and related resources at:

“Gender balance is essential for economies and communities to thrive.”

Keele Campus Panel: “Re-imagining Women’s Rights”

The Centre for Human Rights, Equity and Inclusion (REI) is hosting a roundtable discussion “Reimagining Women’s Rights” from 9:30 to 11:30am in Senate Chambers, Ross Building.
“Six panelists will lead a discussion on intersectionality, inclusivity and the diversity of experiences within the broad parameters of “women’s rights.” Panelists are invited from public, private, and academic sectors whose experiences and expertise will attend to topics such as: ableism, ageism, transphobia, racism, indigeneity.”
