This past weekend, Team Schulich represented our School at the 32nd annual national, MBA Games, held by DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University. This three-day competition features over 600 students from MBA programs across Canada competing in academic, athletic, and spirit challenges for the coveted Queen’s Cup.The theme for this year’s event was “Business with Purpose,” and teams were challenged to reflect this theme in their three-minute video submission. Schulich focused on their relationship with Dixon Hall, a charity supported by our sponsor, RBC.

“Once again, the competition was fierce, with so many strong schools and bright students participating,” shared Marketing professor, Joe Fayt. “Our team represented Schulich in the best possible light, with hard work, determination and good sportsmanship.”

For the first time ever, all four case teams advanced to the finals, with two teams finishing in first place, in the Finance and CSR categories. Case team members, Krithika Kashyap (MBA ‘20) and Cam Teschuk (MBA/JD ‘21) competed on both days and advanced to the finals twice.

Schulich’s team performed consistently across all categories, finishing in second place overall in academics, and third place in athletics and spirit. Congratulations to our students who also raised over $12,000 for the charity, Empowerment Squared, making them the 2nd highest contributor.

Our captains and team members worked tirelessly the entire fall term preparing for the competition and achieved unprecedented results. Way to go, Team Schulich!
