Schulich has partnered with Nielsen to provide students with hands-on technical & analytic training that arms students with knowledge of the tools, data and analytics processes that have become the standard within the CPG/Marketing industry.
On February 20-23, 2018, forty students will have the opportunity to receive hands-on training with Nielsen professionals during three days of workshops at Nielsen’s Markham offices and at the Schulich School of Business.
Students who complete the training will receive a certification from Nielsen and gain a competitive advantage over others seeking a position in the CPG/Marketing industry.
Topics Covered include:
Nielsen Answers® Desktop Fundamentals (Day 1)
This class teaches the skills necessary to leverage the functionalities of Nielsen Answers Desktop to prepare and share professional-looking reports that will aid in the tracking and analysis of key business objectives. The course focuses on data retrieval through template utilization, learning its intuitive roadmap navigation, and how to leverage its powerful ad-hoc capabilities.
MarketPlace Fundamentals (Day 2)
Increase your analytic ability through the exploration of key MarketTrack datatypes. MarketPlace Fundamentals is a two-day intensive course and is highly recommended to everyone responsible for developing and/or communicating category insights using data from a MarketTrack or MarketTrack Gold database. Through exercises and a case study, participants gain an appreciation of these powerful tools and how they are used to communicate analyses more effectively.
Consumer Fundamentals (Day 3)
Consumer Fundamentals is an intensive course and is recommended to everyone responsible for developing and/ or communicating consumer insights with limited knowledge of the Homescan product and its applications. Participants will gain an understanding of how to use Homescan panel data to compliment MarketTrack data to understand reasons behind volume changes and identify appropriate marketing strategies to address them. Discussions, lectures, exercises and a case study build participants understanding through application.
