If you are, you won’t want to miss the Capture Consulting Offers Case Workshop. This is an opportunity to build and advance your case skills to have successful consulting interviews.

The Schulich Career Development Centre is pleased to offer this new workshop, working with Pam Schilling. Pam is a seasoned career coach, former strategy consultant and tech-company finance leader, and a Chicago Booth MBA. She has built a global career advisory practice tailored to MBAs. Over the last 15 years, she has been coaching, training, and conducting mock interviews, helping students secure positions with top MBA recruiters.

This workshop has a foundation based on key components that consulting firms look for in case interviews, case solving methods leveraging Harvard Business School’s case analysis approach, and Pam’s own experience as a consulting interviewer and career coach.

These workshops have two components:

Case Refresh
Case Practice
· Review of the case interview
· Case solving approach, with focus on structuring
· Case solving demonstration (video and discussion)
· Q&A
You must attend the Case Refresh prior to attending a Case Practice session
· Practice Activity 1: Consulting Math
· Practice Activity 2: Case starts (creating case structures, groups of 2)
· Practice Activity 3: Small group case practice (groups of 4)
· Large group debrief/discussion
· Activity 4: Partner practice (1 case per person)
· Q&A

About Pam

Pam Schilling is the Managing Director, Career Strategist and Advisor of the global human capital advisory firm Schilling & Associates. Her 20-year career includes strategy consulting and financial management roles with firms such as Strategy& (now part of PwC), Diamond Management & Technology Consultants (now part of PwC), Huron Consulting Group, NAVTEQ, and Sprint. Her MBA is from Chicago Booth.

Pam has deep experience in the consulting industry from inside and out – She recruited as a consultant and hiring manager, and over the last decade, has worked with hundreds of MBA students and alumni, and other diverse professionals from across the globe as a career/executive coach. Pam also was formerly with the Career Services team at Chicago Booth. Today, she partners with top MBA programs who are advancing career programs to provide workshops, coaching, mock interviews, and general advisory services. In addition, she teaches Strategic Management, Finance, Accounting, and Change Management to undergraduate and graduate business students.

Pam lives in Chicago, IL with her husband, two-year-old twin boys, and super-dog Kato (an adopted Shiba Inu).
